RA Staff Manager (Resident Assistant Manager)

Birchwood Cottages is seeking a compassionate, organized, and hands-on RA Staff Manager to lead, develop, and support our Resident Assistant team. In this key role, you will help ensure exceptional care for our residents while fostering a positive, engaged, and well-trained staff.


Position Summary

The RA Staff Manager is responsible for maintaining the overall RA master schedule/blocks as well as playing an important part of the onboarding, training, and mentorship of Resident Assistants. Working under the direction of the Executive Director and Assistant Director, this role provides supportive supervision, ensures compliance with care standards, and promotes a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain RA scheduling blocks and master staff schedule
  • Coach, mentor, and support Resident Assistants to promote engagement and performance
  • Support team-building, recognition, and employee satisfaction initiatives
  • Assist with conflict resolution and mediation between team members
  • Coordinate staffing to meet resident care needs
  • Serve as a liaison between staff and leadership
  • Monitor staff performance across all duties, including care, safety, and customer service
  • Step in to assist with resident care or provide coverage when needed
  • Uphold the Birchwood Cottages mission, vision, and values in all aspects of care
  • Participation in an every 3 week on-call rotation (including weekends and holidays)
  • Availability to assist with staffing gaps on the floor or direct resident care when needed
