Job description

Title: RF Power Amplifier Design Engineer - Principal
Job Overview: MACOM seeks a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to design solid-state power amplifiers at RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave frequencies. Strong knowledge of analog control circuits, RF hardware, and systems including linear small signal, high-power amplifiers, and transceiver architectures highly desirable. Amplifiers designed will be used across commercial, aerospace and defense markets, as well as space applications.
The successful candidate is a prolific RF designer, with a proven rack record of product development, a great communicator, and devoted to improving the state of the art of modern RF systems.
Requirements:
Extensive experience designing UHF, microwave, or millimeter-wave solid-state amplifiers.
Experience in the use of design tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, or other similar tools.
Ability to analyze and resolve highly complex technical problems quickly and independently.
Design experience in meeting Military and High-Rel requirements is desired.
Ability to work onsite with a team including mechanical engineers, process engineers, and electrical engineers.
Ability to work in a lab environment to test and verify amplifier designs against rigid specifications.
Must be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of applicable experience is desired, or MS and 6+ years.
