The Role:
ECI is seeking a Quoting Specialist with operational and manufacturing experience to support MRG in Norwood, MA. This role is responsible for assisting with customer quotes, managing account documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between internal teams and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
This position will report to the Inside Sales Manager.
This role is located on-site in Norwood, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in data entry and order processing.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency in quote and account management workflows.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information for quote preparation.
  • Compiling proper documentation for the input of new and updated customer information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Developing detailed quotes, including labor, materials, tooling, and overhead costs, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Utilize cost modeling techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency in the quoting process.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate component pricing, lead times, and availability.
  • Assist sales and business development teams in presenting proposals.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Recommend alternative materials to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Analyze historical data to refine cost models and improve quoting accuracy.
  • Identify alternative solutions and cost-saving opportunities during quoting process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Associate's degree in business administration, sales, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience in cost estimation, quoting, or technical sales within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience of technical project management with harness products.
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors, preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple quotes simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
