Essential Duties:
- Communication: Engage in the role of quoting specialist for repair or overhaul quotes. Prepare and ensure all necessary details are gathered to provide an accurate estimate for customers.
- Evaluating Parts and Repair Needs: Review the condition of aircraft parts, including inspecting or gathering technical reports, and determine the necessary repairs, replacements, or overhauls.
- Cost Analysis: Calculate labor, materials, equipment, and any additional costs required to perform the repair or overhaul. Factor in shipping, testing, and compliance costs as well.
- Coordinate with internal departments to determine cost estimates and pricing strategies.
- Technical Research: Use manufacturer's manuals, technical data, and regulations to identify the processes and materials required for repairs.
- Oversee the entire quote lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and maintenance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure quotes comply with aviation regulatory standards (FAA, EASA, etc.), industry best practices, industry standards and company policies, as well as staying updated on changes in compliance
- Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain parts and services needed for repairs and incorporate these into the quote.
- Organize and manage documentation related to customer contracts, quotations, and vendor communications.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate records of quotes, repair processes, and cost breakdowns in a database.
