Job description

The QUIKRETE Companies is seeking an experienced Brand Manager - Heavy Construction Materials (HCM) at our Corporate office in Atlanta, GA. The Brand Manager is tasked to lead marketing initiatives supporting the company's Heavy Construction Materials segment, including Ready-Mix, Cement, Aggregates (stone, sand, gravel, lightweight aggregates), and Asphalt & Construction (paving, grading, etc.).
Reporting to the Senior President of the Heavy Construction Materials Segment while working closely with the presidents leading the HCM divisions, and the Vice President, Marketing, QUIKRETE, the Brand Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives that support sales growth, market share expansion, and brand leadership in the construction materials industry.
This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. While the Brand Manager will help shape marketing strategy and positioning, approximately 60% of the role is tactical, focused on implementing marketing programs, supporting the sales organization, coordinating campaigns, managing vendors, and developing marketing materials.
The position will be supported by a shared services marketing team and cross-functional partners across sales, operations, and leadership to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
In addition to marketing responsibilities, the role will support public relations and community engagement efforts, helping maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, municipalities, and communities where the company operates.

About the Role
Objectives of the Role
  • Increase market share and sales by driving awareness, trial, and preference for QUIKRETE Heavy Construction Materials products and services.
  • Position QUIKRETE as a trusted solutions provider across Ready-Mix, Cement, Aggregates, Asphalt & Construction.
  • Support the HCM sales teams by providing marketing programs and tools that help win projects and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and customer purchasing behavior within the construction materials industry.
  • Serve as the product knowledge expert and brand ambassador for the Heavy Construction Materials segment.
  • Strengthen industry visibility, public relations, and community engagement in markets where the company operates.

Primary Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Brand Development
  • Contribute to marketing strategies supporting the Heavy Construction Materials segment.
  • Help position QUIKRETE as the preferred partner for infrastructure, commercial construction, and large-scale projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve brand visibility, product positioning, market differentiation and brand reputation/community engagement.
  • Partner with sales leadership to align marketing initiatives with regional priorities and major project opportunities.

Tactical Marketing Execution (Significant Portion of Role)
Working with the shared services marketing team, lead and execute marketing initiatives including:
  • Brand identity and messaging
  • Advertising and campaign execution
  • Digital and social media marketing
  • Sales collateral including:
    • Project sheets
    • Sales presentations
    • Signage and promotional materials
    • Case studies and product literature
  • Trade shows and industry events
  • Vendor and agency coordination
  • Marketing support for product launches and market expansions

The Brand Manager will ensure that marketing initiatives are practical, sales-focused, and effectively executed across the business.
Sales Support and Market Development
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership and regional teams to identify opportunities to support customer acquisition and project wins.
  • Develop marketing tools that help the sales organization communicate the value and capabilities of QUIKRETE products and services.
  • Support marketing initiatives that strengthen relationships with contractors, developers, infrastructure agencies, and commercial builders.

Public Relations and Community Engagement
  • Manage public relations initiatives related to the Heavy Construction Materials segment.
  • Assist with development of news releases, industry announcements, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Coordinate communications related to major projects, plant investments, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Help strengthen relationships with local communities, municipalities, and industry organizations where company facilities operate.

Market Intelligence and Industry Awareness
  • Monitor developments within the cement, aggregates, ready-mix, and infrastructure markets.
  • Track competitor activity, pricing dynamics, and market positioning.

Identify emerging opportunities in infrastructure investment, commercial construction, and regional development
About You
We Require:
Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to think both strategically and tactically, balancing planning with execution.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5-10 years of professional B2B marketing experience, including experience supporting sales organizations.
Experience across the full marketing mix, including advertising, digital marketing, events, PR, and sales enablement.
Experience collaborating with sales teams, operations leadership, and external vendors or agencies.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience serving as a Brand Manager or equivalent role accountable for brand performance and results.
  • Industry experience in construction materials, infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing, including:
    • Cement
    • Aggregates
    • Ready-Mix Concrete
    • Asphalt
    • Construction or infrastructure materials
  • Experience supporting public relations, media relations, or community engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with contractor, infrastructure, or government procurement markets.
