QuickBooks Management refers to the process of overseeing and optimizing the use of QuickBooks accounting software within a business. This includes setting up company files, managing accounts, processing transactions, generating financial reports, and ensuring data accuracy. Effective QuickBooks Management helps businesses streamline their bookkeeping, improve financial visibility, and maintain compliance with accounting standards. Professionals in this role often provide support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure the software is used efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in QuickBooks Management, and why are they important?

Success in QuickBooks Management requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and experience with QuickBooks software, often complemented by relevant certifications like QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Familiarity with financial reporting tools, payroll processing, and integration with other accounting systems is highly valued. Job description

Controller / Head of Finance (Growth-Focused)

World Truck Towing & Recovery is a well-established, ownerโ€‘led heavyโ€‘duty towing and recovery company with strong, consistent yearโ€‘overโ€‘year organic growth. We are seeking a powerful, handsโ€‘on financial leader to own the accounting function and help guide the company through its next phase of expansion.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for a Controller, Senior Accountant, or Head of Finance who wants real authority, influence, and a clear path toward a CFOโ€‘level role as the company continues to scale. The position combines handsโ€‘on accounting leadership with forwardโ€‘looking financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fullโ€‘cycle accounting and financial control
  • QuickBooks management (certified expertise required)
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Job costing, margin analysis, and profitability reporting
  • Payroll oversight, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Monthly, quarterly, and yearโ€‘end close
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and growth planning
  • Financial reporting and analysis directly to ownership
  • Coordination with external CPA, tax advisors, and banking partners
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Controller, Senior Accountant, or Head of Finance
  • Experience in serviceโ€‘based, fleet, construction, towing, or equipmentโ€‘heavy businesses
  • Strong business judgment with attention to detail
  • Comfortable being handsโ€‘on while also thinking strategically
  • Ability to work independently and partner directly with ownership
Why This Role Matters

This is not a backโ€‘office bookkeeping role. This position is a key leadership seat within the company. You will play a direct role in improving margins, strengthening cash flow, and ensuring that growth is profitable and controlled.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and based on experience. This role offers longโ€‘term growth potential and the opportunity to evolve into a CFOโ€‘level position.
