Job Title: Senior Quickbase Developer 

Location: Addison, TX (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)**
Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

 

We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Senior Quickbase Developer to stabilize, rationalize, and optimize our existing Quickbase environment supporting healthcare operations.

Our current environment includes three core applications and approximately 90 pipelines (60 active). Over time, automation has expanded and may not be fully optimized. This role is responsible for auditing, streamlining, and improving the efficiency of pipelines and workflows while continuing to support ongoing business enhancements.

This is a technical execution role for someone who enjoys cleaning up complex automation environments and bringing structure, performance, and discipline to platform operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Pipeline Audit & Optimization

  • Conduct a comprehensive review of existing pipelines.
  • Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and unnecessary automation.
  • Refactor or rewrite pipelines to improve performance and reduce execution volume.
  • Consolidate logic where appropriate to simplify architecture.
  • Decommission unused or obsolete pipelines.
  • Implement monitoring standards to prevent automation sprawl going forward.

Application & Data Structure Optimization

  • Review relational structures across three Quickbase applications.
  • Improve lookup chains, formulas, and field design to enhance performance.
  • Ensure data integrity and reduce unnecessary dependencies.
  • Maintain structured naming conventions and documentation.

Enhancement & Ongoing Development

  • Develop new pipelines and workflows aligned with business requirements.
  • Build operational dashboards and reporting within Quickbase.
  • Implement complex formula logic and conditional workflows.
  • Ensure structured testing and change control processes.

Governance & Platform Stewardship

  • Establish development standards for pipelines and workflows.
  • Document technical logic and integration flows.
  • Monitor system health and proactively address inefficiencies.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness within a healthcare environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of dedicated Quickbase development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience auditing and optimizing automation-heavy environments.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Quickbase Pipelines (design, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
    • Relational database modeling within Quickbase
    • Complex formula logic
    • REST API fundamentals and JSON handling
  • Proven ability to simplify and rationalize existing systems.
  • Experience supporting production operational systems.
  • Ability to work onsite in Addison, TX (5 days per week).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in healthcare or compliance-driven industries.
  • Experience reducing automation sprawl or technical debt.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and performance optimization strategies.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for validation and troubleshooting.
