Job Summary

The Director of Technology Delivery will partner with product and engineering to lead programs, projects, initiatives, and maintenance (BAU/KLO) delivery efforts for the assigned area(s). The director be responsible for implementing methodologies and processes, improving methodologies and processes, resource allocation, capitalization, agile reporting, staffing and maintaining a team of delivery resources (FTE and contingent labor), status reporting, program reporting, risk and issue management, delivery planning, agile coaching and maturation, supporting governance processes, and holistic enterprise delivery management as assigned. This role will regularly work with senior Technology leadership, Architects, Engineering leads, QA leads, Product Owners, Product Managers, the PMO, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Staff, manage, lead, grow, and mentor project managers, project managers, and agile leads.
  • SupportLead the implementation, enforcement, and continuous improvement of processes including but not limited to Scrum, Kanban, hybrid/custom, technology governance, enterprise governance, security, and shared services.
  • SupportOversee the implementation, enforcement, and continuous improvement of department tools including but not limited to QuickBase, Jira, and Confluence
  • Collaborate with Technology and Business Leadership on initiative priority, process changes, and delivery execution
  • Support and enforce Technology and Enterprise governance processes including intake, value/work ratings, discussion facilitation, recommendations, and communication of decisions
  • Drive the delivery of programs, projects and maintenance efforts in partnership with engineering and product leadership
  • Ensure that work is appropriately planned, managed, and tracked including, risk and issue identification, mitigation plan development, dependencies identified and tracked etc.
  • Anticipate and proactively mitigate risks, issues, conflicts and constraints
  • Pragmatically escalate issues to leadership for awareness, support, and/or action
  • Proactively and continuously review strategy, approaches, and plans to ensure alignment with company goals and needs; balance support for short term needs with long term strategic objectives
  • Analyze problems and make recommendations for improvements, including identifying and evaluating opportunities for growth, reduce operating expenses, and improve performance
  • Measure and analyze performance of assigned teams using appropriate tools and techniques; use the data to work with senior leadership to adjust training plans, team structures, and other areas for improvement
  • Establish, maintain, and manage relationships with Technology leads, stakeholders and vendors
  • SupportLead quarterly planning processes and meetings including preparation and meeting facilitation
  • Support contract management and negotiation as requested
  • Maintain project and financial data for effective and efficient reporting and internal audit compliance
  • Other works as assigned
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years in non-project management experience – BA, Product, engineering, testing, etc.
  • Minimum 8+ years’ relevant project management or agile lead experience, or equivalent experience, required.
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
  • Proven judgment and ability to manage multiple teams and a portfolio of work
  • Solid understanding of project management and agile methodologies, with the ability to teach and coach others
  • Keen ability to engage and lead delivery teams
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence peers and leadership to drive delivery and enforce process compliance
  • Effective documentation and reporting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Prefer experience with QuickBase (low code platform), Jira, Confluence, and/or popular PPM platforms (Asana, Monday.com, Planview, Smartsheet, etc.)
Required Licenses or Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
  • Agile training and certifications (PSM, CSM, CPO, SAFe, etc.) are a plus
Other Requirements
  • Must maintain professional appearance.
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis; Overtime may be required for this position.
Physical and Mental Demands

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers. The position may also entail light lifting of supplies and materials occasionally, up to and including 20 pounds in addition to reaching, stooping, standing, and walking. This position requires the ability to talk, hear, compare, compute, compile, copy, analyze, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate and communicate. Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is: $127,200.00 - $220,480.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. Compensation and Benefits
