Job Description

The Commercial ExecutionSpecialist will lead and support critical areas of need in the Commercial organization, with a primary emphasis on developing and managing commercial performance reporting driving commercial execution, and a secondary focus on executing marketing analytics, building bottom-up forecasting models, and supporting overall Commercial Operations processes and Commercial Excellence.


This role is strategically positioned to have a multi-faceted focus supporting our commercial reporting/analytics capabilities, Commercial Excellence functions, Marketing Analytics, and Sales Bottoms-Up Forecasting within Sales Operations.


This is a hybrid role based in Lenexa, KS (3 days per week in-office).


Responsibilities

  • Data Workflows & Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain data workflows and dashboards using modern ETL and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to process sales performance, marketing metrics, and commercial data.

  • Automation: Automate data pipelines and workflows to deliver targeted performance insights and interactive dashboard views to sales representatives, marketing teams, and commercial leadership to drive strategic focus.

  • ETL Methodologies: Utilize ETL methodologies to extract, clean, and process data from core finance, CRM, and marketing systems to maintain and improve reporting and dashboards.

  • Performance Metrics: Collaborate to develop and analyze commercial performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the impact and success of sales and marketing initiatives and develop and quantify lagging indicators for sales initiatives including realized growth dollars, performance by region, and performance vs. goals.

  • Sales Forecasting: Develop, maintain, and refine detailed sales forecasting models utilizing pipeline opportunities, historical win rates, sales representative inputs, and account-level data.

  • Pipeline & Trend Analysis: Partner with sales and marketing teams to evaluate the commercial pipeline, identify coverage gaps, track velocity through the funnel, and conduct variance analyses between bottom-up forecasts and actual commercial performance.

  • Commercial Excellence: Support Commercial Excellence initiatives such as targeting, building out standard dashboards, reviewing initiatives to remove any under-utilized or outdated information, and proactively reviewing performance to drive improved execution and behaviors.

  • Marketing Campaign Analytics: Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of multi-channel marketing campaigns to evaluate ROI, track lead-to-opportunity conversion rates, and provide actionable insights to optimize marketing spend.

  • Expertise: Act as the primary subject matter expert on commercial data structures, operational workflows, and BI/dashboarding tools for the business.

  • Process Implementation: Support the implementation of new Commercial Operations (Commercial Operations) processes, systems, and integrated workflows.

  • Adaptability: Remain agile to accommodate changing metric definitions, expanding metrics for leadership or sales teams in annual operating planning, monthly leadership reporting, and weekly sales huddles.


Qualifications

Required WorkExperience:



  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial, Financial, Marketing Analytics, or Operational roles, with an emphasis on data workflows, ETL, and dashboarding.

  • Hands-on experience in the development of dashboards/ reporting for functions such as Sales and Marketing.

  • Experience configuring scheduled data pipelines and automated workflows for dashboard environments.

  • Hands-on experience building bottom-up sales forecasting or revenue projections.

  • 1+ years of experience in the Diagnostics or Healthcare industry.

  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of lab industry and healthcare structures (e.g., physician, hospitals, and health plans).

  • Business planning, marketing analytics, sales forecasting, market, and competitive analysis experience.

  • Experience in driving sales effectiveness processes and operational workflows.

  • High fluency with BI tools (including Power BI and/or Tableau), Salesforce.com, and Excel.

  • Structured and logical thinking.

  • Analytical skills: quantitative and qualitative.
