Job description

HR Representative

Position Summary

The HR Representative will provide high-level support across the HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience and Communications functions at Tosoh Quartz. In this role you will be a key resource for employees, hiring managers, new hires and stakeholders, lead new hire onboarding and orientation, maintain HR data in Excel and the HRIS, and support internal and external communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact in HR for applicants, employees, supervisors/managers, and others by managing and responding to various HR related inquiries such as verification of employment, reference requests, requests for leave, company policies, programs and procedures.
  • Maintain the Paycom Applicant Tracking System (ATS) data and processes, create offer letters, initiate and track all pre-employment screenings, disposition applicants, and lead onboarding and new hire orientation activities
  • Own all activities for voluntary terminations and retirements, including exit interviews and exit interview paperwork, final paycheck requests, and retirement celebrations.
  • Maintain all staffing reports and other monthly, quarterly and annual reports, ensuring reports are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Support all employee experience and recognition programs, including company events, employee anniversaries, company culture initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Drive employer branding efforts using external social media channels and recruiting events; manage the company LinkedIn page and optimize the use of internal communication tools to support employee engagement.
  • Provide support to new and existing international employees.
  • Process all HR invoice and concur reimbursements, as requested.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in an HR department or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of human resources management, recruitments and benefits.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate with all employees of an organization.
  • Experience with pre-employment activities, new hire onboarding, and new hire orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or Business
  • Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS systems
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience maintaining social media presence for a business (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
