Responsibilities
Seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer (FSE) within a Keysight Technologies organization that is dedicated to innovation and contribution, where trust, respect, teamwork, and uncompromising integrity are the ingredients for individual and company success.
As a member of Keysight's Electronic Manufacturing Test (EMT) Field Service Team, you will work on test systems used in the printed circuit board production (PCB) environments. These systems primarily include the Keysight i3070 In-Circuit test systems, i1000 In-Circuit and FlexiCore test systems, and i7090 Massively Parallel Test System.
This is a self-managed role, setting your own schedule as you support our PCB manufacturing customers for on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of Keysight's Electronic Manufacturing Test equipment. You will be called upon to provide onsite support work, as well as remote support and troubleshooting via phone. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Manage and implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules with assigned customers on customer site, and proactively install Service Notes
  • Ensure on-time calibrations, performed on customer site
  • Assist the Support Sales Team as needed, and proactively look for new support business leads
  • Perform repairs of customer EMT equipment in timely, thorough, and professional manner
  • As a primary interface to the customer, work with cross functional teams to address difficult repair situations, helping to return customer systems to fully functional status in the shortest time possible
  • Determine and develop approaches to the varied assignments associated with this position
  • Lead field services and support projects requiring coordination with other functions and customers
  • Solve a broad range of system problems of varying scope and complexity, involving hardware, software, networking, and operating system

This role will be part of an onsite field service team, with this position serving customers in WI. Location will be remote-worker based out of WI.
Company car will be provided (includes car, and associated expenses: gas, maintenance, etc)
Qualifications
This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. Under these laws and regulations, U.S. persons (which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) working for Keysight can access export-controlled items without authorization from the U.S. government. For any individual who is not a U.S. person, Keysight may need authorization from the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, or other appropriate federal agency before the individual can access export-controlled items. Employment in this position for non-U.S. persons is contingent on Keysight's ability to obtain any required government authorizations.
  • Bachelors or Associate Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent experience. To qualify for this position the following requirements are sought:
  • 5+ years previous experience on EMT Products, especially Keysight i3070 In-Circuit Test Systems
  • ICT Application Software knowledge or experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of the PC Windows Operating Systems and basic networking
  • Ability to travel internationally (US Passport)
  • Customer Interfacing Experience
  • Electromechanical Aptitude and Skills
  • Functional Test Experience, particularly those involving Keysight instrumentation.
  • Parametric Test System (Wafer Test) Experience, particularly Keysight systems, is a plus
  • Instrument Calibration and Repair Experience
  • Willing to travel up to 50% (day travel and overnight)

Must Have:
  • Valid Driver's License with good driving record, able to travel via car and air
  • Self-directed with minimum supervision, able to make decisions that favorably affect customer uptime
  • Excellent communication skills, clearly demonstrated organization skills, ability to complete paperwork in a timely manner, manage company assets and spare parts effectively
  • Ability to work in high-stress, mission-critical situations - your performance impacts customer results
  • Flexible working hours per customer commitments with ability to travel with short notice, work after hours/overtime as the customer situation dictates
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.

Ability to effectively use Digital Voltmeters, Oscilloscopes, and Frequency Counters for troubleshooting
Pay Range:
USD $90,790.00 - USD $151,320.00 Year
