JOB SUMMARYEstimators provide technical estimation of electrical projects from bid preparation through job close out documentation to the customer.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; and
  • 5 years' experience as an electrical estimator.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Quantity takeoff.
  • Quantity takeoff entry into estimating software.
  • Solicitation and review vendor and subcontractor quotations.
  • Review current material pricing levels.
  • Review and estimate addenda as required.
  • Visit site and/or attend site walk meeting.
  • Review bid/construction schedule.
  • Draft and submit proposal documents.
  • Follow post bid closeout procedures.
  • Attend weekly estimating team meetings.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Construction management degree.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
