  • As Senior Trader of OTC Derivatives at Anchorage, you will bring your deep expertise in trading derivatives (including options, forwards, and structured products) across digital and traditional asset classes to help build and scale a best-in-class trading platform. You will play a key role in executing client business, managing risk, and developing the derivatives trading franchise.
You may be a fit for this role if you have:
  • Our ideal candidate will bring deep experience from traditional and crypto sell-side trading environments, and have a strong foundation in derivatives trading and market structure. This candidate must be based in the Western Hemisphere, but not in the US or Canada.
**Based in the Western Hemisphere, outside of the U.S. and Canada (e.g., Cayman Islands, Brazil). Work hours will primarily align with Western Hemisphere time zones.**
Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive trading strategies for digital asset derivatives. Your role will involve adapting proven strategies from traditional asset classes to the innovative landscape of digital assets, aligning these strategies with Anchorage's long-term business objectives.
  • Drive P&L growth while maintaining disciplined risk management practices
  • Be a senior leader in expanding our OTC derivatives operations. Build and refine trading infrastructure, develop new models, and create durable processes to support the growth and success of our derivatives business.
  • Lead, execute and optimize trading strategies and portfolio management decisions, your expertise will be crucial in enhancing execution efficiency. You will continuously assess and improve trading strategies using advanced quantitative models and performance analytics. Your ability to refine approaches based on market conditions and performance metrics will be key to maximizing profitability and efficiency.
  • Guide and mentor junior traders. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing.
  • Utilize your deep understanding of market dynamics to navigate complex trading environments. Apply quantitative skills to analyze market signals and make informed decisions that drive trading strategies.
  • Implement and maintain effective risk management practices. Ensure that trading activities are conducted within established risk parameters, balancing risk and return to protect the firmโ€™s interests.
Must Haves:
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a trader specializing in derivatives, including options, forwards, and structured products, with a strong foundation and performance track record. Prior sell-side derivatives trading experience at a bulge bracket bank is highly valued.
  • Market Knowledge: Possess an in-depth understanding of trading derivatives and the ability to apply this expertise to digital assets. Demonstrated proficiency in market dynamics, including a solid grasp of how markets function and the opportunities they present. This includes familiarity with crypto market flows and the motivations driving market behavior.
  • Quantitative Skills: Advanced quantitative and analytical capabilities, with strong proficiency in quantitative modeling, data analysis using Python, R or other languages. Adept at developing complex financial models, interpreting datasets, and deriving actionable insights to drive trading decisions.
  • Leadership: Experienced in mentoring and training junior traders, with a focus on professional development and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. A collaborative team player who can demonstrate ownership, autonomy, and accountability in fast-moving environments
  • Risk Management: Demonstrated strong and responsible risk appetite, with a deep understanding of risk management principles and practical applications. Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk across various trading strategies and market conditions. Adept at making swift but well informed decisions and maintaining composure in high-pressure trading environments.
