Job description

Quality Systems Manager On-Site

A client of ours is seeking an experienced Quality Systems Manager to lead quality operations for a manufacturer serving highly regulated industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys building strong quality systems, leading teams, working directly with customers and suppliers, and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in aerospace, defense, electronics manufacturing, or another precision manufacturing environment where quality, compliance, and customer expectations are critical.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide leadership for all quality functions including Quality Assurance, Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Quality Systems
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable customer and regulatory requirements
  • Lead internal audits, customer audits, and third-party certification audits
  • Drive root cause investigations and implement long-term corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor quality performance using KPIs and identify opportunities to improve product quality and manufacturing performance
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Production, and Supply Chain to improve processes and reduce quality issues
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, qualification activities, and corrective action programs
  • Manage document control, calibration programs, nonconforming material, and quality records
  • Develop inspection methods, quality procedures, and employee training programs
  • Foster a culture focused on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline preferred
  • Five or more years of leadership experience within a manufacturing quality organization
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and Quality Management Systems
  • Experience leading certification, customer, and regulatory audits
  • Background in corrective actions, root cause analysis, supplier quality, and process improvement
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
  • Aerospace, defense, electronics, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments
  • IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, CQE, CQM, Lead Auditor, or similar industry certifications
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies
  • ERP systems and electronic quality management software
