RN Quality Coordinator

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Quality Coordinator supports the hospital's quality and patient safety programs through coordination of performance improvement initiatives, data analysis, and regulatory compliance activities. This role collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to monitor clinical outcomes, implement evidence-based practices, and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.

The coordinator is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting quality data, conducting chart audits and root cause analyses, and assisting with regulatory readiness efforts. This position partners with leadership, physicians, and staff to improve patient safety, enhance care delivery, and ensure adherence to CMS, Joint Commission, and HCA Healthcare standards.

What you will do in this role:
  • Coordinate and support quality and performance improvement initiatives
  • Monitor, analyze, and report clinical outcomes, core measures, and patient safety indicators
  • Conduct chart reviews, audits, and root cause analyses (RCAs)
  • Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness efforts
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based practices
  • Educate staff on quality initiatives and patient safety standards
  • Track and trend data, presenting findings to leadership and committees
What qualifications you will need:
  • (RN) Registered Nurse required
  • Current Texas RN license (or compact state license)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
  • 2 years of acute care hospital experience required
  • Experience in quality, patient safety, or performance improvement preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission) preferred

(LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse
