Job description

I’m working with an engineering organisation developing advanced optical and sensor systems for some seriously interesting aerospace applications.

They’re looking for an experienced Program Manager who can take ownership of complex engineering programs from concept through design, build, integration and test.

This isn’t purely a schedule-and-budget PM position. You’ll be working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across optical, opto-mechanical, mechanical, electrical and software disciplines, with the opportunity to remain technically involved where appropriate.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading complex aerospace engineering programs from concept through completion

• Managing technical approach, quality, budgets and schedules

• Coordinating engineering resources across multiple projects

• Identifying program risks and driving mitigation plans

• Building strong relationships with customers and acting as a trusted technical partner

• Supporting opportunities to expand existing customer programs

• Improving program management processes, tools and ways of working

• Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams

What we’re looking for:

• BS in Engineering or another STEM-related discipline

• 8+ years of relevant experience

• Experience with sensor payload system development

• Strong experience managing complex engineering programs

• US Citizen or US Permanent Resident

Nice to have:

• Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

• Experience taking DoD-related component systems through low-rate initial production
