Job description

Summary:

Responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) across the Well Stimulation and GHT Divisions. Rebuild and strengthen quality systems, processes, supplier controls, inspection programs, and accountability mechanisms across the organization. Operate as both a strategic leader and an individual contributor, while developing the long-term quality organization structure, staffing plans, inspection resources, supplier quality programs, and continuous improvement initiatives required to support business growth.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions.
  • Evaluate existing quality systems and develop a comprehensive roadmap to modernize and strengthen the division's quality program.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards including ISO 9001, API Q1, API 6A, API 7K, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead management reviews and report quality performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Create sustainable systems that reduce dependence on individual contributors and improve organizational accountability.
  • Develop and manage global supplier quality programs.
  • Establish supplier qualification, auditing, risk assessment, and performance monitoring processes.
  • Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs), supplier development efforts, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Conduct supplier audits domestically and internationally.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain and Engineering to improve supplier quality performance and reduce field failures.
  • Review and verify material certifications, MTRs, NDE records, inspection packages, PPAPs, FAT records, and other technical quality documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal material specifications and customer requirements.
  • Support disposition of non-conforming product and lead corrective actions.
  • Drive root cause investigations.
  • Assess current quality staffing and organizational capability.
  • Recommend, hire, train, and develop necessary quality personnel.
  • Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop training programs to increase quality awareness throughout the product line.
  • Lead internal quality audits.
  • Support customer audits and third-party audits.
  • Monitor corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
  • Ensure documentation control and record retention requirements are maintained.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Reliability, and Product Management teams.
  • Establish objective, measurable quality expectations.
  • Drive alignment between business goals and quality requirements.
  • Influence organizational change through data, facts, and effective communication.
  • Effectively manage and influence people.
  • Works independently under minimal supervision.
  • Domestic and international travel required.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with ISO 9001, API Q1, API 6A, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other applicable manufacturing quality standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge with Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) methods, Supplier Quality Systems, NDT/NDE methods and pressure-containing equipment requirements.
  • Certified Quality manager (CQM) preferred
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
  • Lead Auditor certification preferred
  • ASQ certifications preferred
  • Valid drivers license

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical discipline.

Experience

  • 8+ years progressive experience in Quality in heavy manufacturing
  • Experience supporting highly engineered products in oilfield equipment, energy, manufacturing, aerospace, pressure-containing equipment, or similar industries.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing or rebuilding quality systems.
  • Experience leading supplier quality programs.
  • Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience developing and leading quality teams.
