Quality Manager

Fort Worth, TX
Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday–Friday

About the Role

The Hammitt Group is actively seeking a Quality Manager for a growing automotive manufacturing organization in the Fort Worth area. This leadership role will oversee plant quality systems, customer quality standards, continuous improvement efforts, and overall operational quality performance within a fast-paced production environment.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with strong automotive manufacturing experience and a deep understanding of quality systems, process improvement, and customer-facing quality management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain all plant quality management system activities
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and automotive quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and operational performance
  • Manage plant quality metrics, reporting, and corrective action processes
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to customer and internal quality concerns
  • Support APQP processes, audits, control plans, SOPs, and documentation updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and production leadership teams
  • Monitor process controls and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained across the facility
  • Prepare for and support customer audits and internal quality reviews
  • Mentor and develop quality team members while promoting accountability and operational excellence
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality leadership role within automotive manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • IATF 16949
    • APQP / PPAP
    • Root Cause Analysis
    • Layered Audits
    • Quality Core Tools
    • Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments
Preferred Background
  • Tier 1 automotive supplier experience
  • Experience with metal fabrication, stamping, or welded assemblies
  • Customer-facing quality experience strongly preferred
