Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to GM Warren Technical Center (WTC) three times per week, or as dictated by business needs.
The Role:
The Dealer Performance Manager role serves as a key contributor to the operational success of the GM Community Dealer Development team.
What You'll Do:
  • Develops, implements & monitors robust strategies to recruit and develop GM's future dealer operators
  • Collaborate with the regional network teams to develop and grow the network of fully vetted dealer candidates
  • Facilitates the quarterly Dealer Candidate Expertise Assessment and quarterly National Candidate Pool Selection Panel Interview processes
  • Executes the LINEAGE program for dealership successors
  • Maintains a high level of collaboration with the field network teams to match potential candidates with potential opportunities
  • Provides candidate status updates to the Advisory Councils
  • Develops an efficient annual process of "recertification" of candidates in the National Candidate Pool
  • Proposes and develops IT solutions & improvements to support and ensure the network field teams have easier and efficient access to candidate data
  • Coordinates monthly progress updates to the regional teams and the Dealer Development Director
  • Leads, implements & monitors robust & collaborative strategies to proactively identify, manage & reduce the operational losses for our at-risk dealers

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, or related areas
  • 3-5+ years of experience in field, sales, marketing or dynamic, fast paced and multi-tasking environment. Dealer Network experience preferred
  • Advanced communication and presentations skills
  • Ability to build strong relationship building skills
  • Excellent organizing & planning skills, project management a plus
  • Ability to independently handle and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, especially the ability to produce large amounts of data involving multiple variables into comprehensive, yet concise, actionable insights
  • Outstanding organizational/project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing deliverables and deadlines
  • Strong written & oral communication skills; ability to present confidently to senior leadership and dealer councils
  • Proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
