Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day leadership of hotel operations while ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, financial performance, and brand compliance. This role provides direct leadership to the Front Office, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping departments while partnering with Sales, Engineering, and other operational teams to create an exceptional extended-stay guest experience.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing high-performing teams, and possesses a strong understanding of hotel operations, including Food & Beverage service and bar operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in the overall operation and success of the hotel.
  • Provide daily leadership and oversight of Front Office, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping operations.
  • Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction by resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop department managers and hourly associates.
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and accountable workplace culture aligned with CMC Hotels' values.
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement action plans to improve performance.
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Review labor productivity and staffing levels to maximize efficiency while maintaining service excellence.
  • Partner with department leaders to achieve financial goals, control expenses, and improve profitability.
  • Monitor housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, quality standards, and efficiency in an extended-stay environment.
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight of the hotel's Food & Beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, and breakfast.
  • nsure food quality, beverage presentation, responsible alcohol service, sanitation standards, and exceptional guest experiences are consistently maintained.
  • Support bar operations by maintaining inventory controls, beverage cost management, liquor accountability, and compliance with all ABC regulations.
  • Partner with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams to drive revenue, control expenses, and improve guest satisfaction scores.
  • Participate in forecasting, budgeting, inventory management, and cost control initiatives.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, OSHA, and health department regulations.
  • Serve as Manager on Duty as assigned, responding to guest needs and operational challenges.
  • Support hotel initiatives, special events, and long-term stay guest relations as needed.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive hotel leadership experience, preferably within a Marriott or branded hotel environment.
  • Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, or Food & Beverage Manager is strongly preferred.
  • Required experience managing Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant and bar service.
  • Working knowledge of bar operations, liquor inventory controls, beverage cost management, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage operations.
  • Understanding of hotel financial statements, labor management, departmental budgets, and cost controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Marriott systems and brand standards preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and business demands.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in both office and operational environments, including guest rooms, public areas, kitchen, bar and back-of-house spaces.
