Summary


The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving operational efficiency, ensuring safety and quality standards, and leading teams to achieve production, service, and business objectives. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to improve processes, manage resources, and support continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Activities


  • Direct company personnel for production and cleaning operations.
  • Direct outside contractors for mill equipment repairs.
  • Monitor production rates and make production estimations.
  • Monitor/Implement all safety policies with personnel and operations.
  • Manage, maintain, and inspect mill equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment when repairs are needed.
  • Making decisions for coordination of production.
  • Resolving issues with personnel and outside contractors.
  • Monitoring environmental conditions.
  • Implement and maintain food safety standards.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parent companies.
  • Coordinating projects.
  • Approving time records for employees, operational invoices, etc...
  • Managing operational costs of the mill.
  • Employee discipline.

  • Basic electrical wiring.


Educations & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive operations or manufacturing management experience.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Certification (HACCP).
