We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead our supplier quality assurance efforts. As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the ISO9001 auditing team as well other supplier Quality Programs, managing a team of certified auditors and Certified 6 sigma SQEs. This position will ensure compliance with supplier quality management systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and identify and address quality issues, develop corrective actions, and maintain a robust supply base.
As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • The overall management and auditing of the Quality Management Systems of our suppliers;
  • Managing and staffing a team of auditors and SQEs, conducting performance reviews, and supporting employee development;
  • Performing leadership responsibilities such as setting departmental objectives in line with overall business objectives;
  • Consulting, collaborating, and working as a liaison with other departments and internal/external customers to provide the support required to successfully evaluate and bring closure to any quality issues, including detailing root cause and corrective action;
  • Fostering and building a culture of quality first;
  • Directing activities for prevention of nonconformances by developing action plans through which positive determination of causes, corrective actions, and follow-up activities are identified;
  • Supporting the onboarding of new suppliers and managing the BAE Approved Supplier List;
  • Supporting and maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety objectives and policies;
  • Assisting in the development and/or modification of specifications and procedures to the extent that they conform to existing or improved quality levels;
  • Providing assistance with technical customer support including leading support for customer audits;
  • Overseeing review of technical documents for customer orders and supplier purchase orders;
  • Generating technical reports as necessary.
Physical Requirements: This role is a remote position but will requires presence in a manufacturing or fabrication environment on occasion. The incumbent must be able to access and safely navigate production areas which may include climbing, kneeling, stooping, and working in confined spaces. Must also be able to comply with all requirements including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policy.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 8 years directly related experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control role and 3 years of supervisory and/or management experience, or the overall equivalent.
• Working experience operating within ISO 9001 standard.
• Direct knowledge of TQM, SPC, AS9100, ISO9001 and state-of-the-art analytical quality assurance methodologies.
• Motivated leader to drive continuous improvement by leading through example and working with and developing teams.
• Six Sigma certified (black belt preferred) experience with a proven track record of driving quality performance.
• As a skilled negotiator and trusted advisor, able to work effectively with customers and resolve customer complaints as well as work closely with supply base Sr leadership.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact and disseminate information with individuals at all levels in the organization.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Ability to collaborate, coach, guide, and offer training.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Computer skills to include MS Office Suite and ability to work with industry related software.
  • ASQ Certification preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
  • Experience managing quality assurance program in support of DOD contracts.
  • Formal training in root cause analysis and corrective action.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
