Summary
Shape Technologies Group is seeking a Quality Manager to lead our manufacturing quality strategy and drive a culture of excellence across the facility. In this high-impact leadership role, you will oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), champion continuous improvement initiatives, and partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to deliver world-class quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening ISO compliance, improving manufacturing performance, reducing defects, and leading a team committed to operational excellence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead site Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Incoming Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality activities.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring ISO certification and audit readiness.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and reduce waste.
  • Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, and implement actions to improve product and process performance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues, complaints, audits, and corrective action requests.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve overall performance.
  • Support new product introductions and manufacturing process changes through quality planning and validation activities.
  • Develop, coach, and lead site quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, engineering, or operations, including leadership responsibility.
  • Proven experience leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting ISO certification, compliance, and audit activities.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, corrective actions, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • ASQ certifications such as CQE, CMQ/OE, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Experience in capital equipment, industrial manufacturing, or engineered-to-order environments.
  • Demonstrated success implementing quality system and process improvements.
  • Experience with ERP systems and quality data management tools.
