Description
Provide direction and lead the Quality department and personnel to assure the Quality Management System is adequate to prevent non-conforming material from reaching assembly and non-conforming finished product from reaching the Customer. Includes conducting/facilitating root cause investigations, developing counter measures, communicating resolution on issues to drive the quality process to a best-in-class level. The Senior Quality Manager leads the strategy, governance, and execution of Quality Management Systems (QMS) across product design, manufacturing, and supplier management. They ensure compliance with standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and drive a zero-defect culture, focusing on reliability engineering, corrective actions, and customer satisfaction
As the Senior Quality Manager, you will:
  • Lead and manage the human resources assigned to the Quality department to achieve maximum performance while producing Quality product at a minimum cost
  • Monitor the quality performance of new and existing processes and products within the Kennesaw site; this includes (examples: Cargo, mutliflex, E2, E3, Dixel related products (ipros, CC200, etc.), and other product families
  • Assure the disposition of materials identified as discrepant in the manufacturing or inspection system is correct and timely resolved
  • Manage customer escalations, audits, and performance metrics, ensuring product quality aligns with requirements
  • Communicate with customers as needed, when corrective and preventive actions are required
  • Champion Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to drive process improvements and yield enhancements
  • Monitor and audit suppliers, driving quality improvements in raw materials and components
  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of quality systems including but not limited to ISO9000
  • Promote Quality awareness in all company employees
  • Assure that the systems conform to the divisional policies and directives
  • Lead or facilitate as point of contact the corrective and preventive action RCCM on non-conformances returned by our customers through RMA or other avenues
  • Develop and maintain the plant's Quality Management Systems as required to demonstrate best in class performance
  • Coordinate the recovery of costs associated with reworking or sorting supplier non-conforming material
  • Maintain a timely communication line with our sales, product management, engineering, and customers to resolve and document resolution of issues
  • Implement statistical techniques for problem solving efforts and publish plant data in dashboards to show progress vs KPIs
  • Actively participates in the new product development process to ensure key quality characteristics are incorporated

Required education, experiences & skills:
  • 5+ years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in 8D Problem Solving, RCCM, and Risk assessment
  • Current or the ability to attain Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Knowledge in business management processes
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred education, experiences & skills:
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
