The Role
Mach Energetics is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in support of next-generation aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards, customer quality requirements, and internal operational procedures across rapidly developing hardware and manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, work instructions, process documentation, and quality records.
  • Oversee and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure continued compliance with AS9100 standards and customer quality requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audit activities including preparation, execution, corrective action management, and audit follow-up activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, customer quality representatives, and regulatory reviews.
  • Manage nonconformance reporting (NCR), root cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor process compliance and quality system effectiveness through audits, metrics, inspections, and data analysis.
  • Support supplier quality activities, process validations, and manufacturing quality assurance efforts as needed.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 standards, quality systems management, and audit processes.
  • Experience managing corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent quality certifications.
  • Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing, propulsion systems, or complex hardware programs.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality management and production quality systems.
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup or rapid hardware development environments.
  • Knowledge of FAA, DoD, or aerospace regulatory compliance requirements.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
