ATI is currently seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to join our facility located in Cudahy, WI. The Quality Systems Specialist position reports to the Manager, Quality. As a successful Quality systems Specialist, you will manage the activities associated with the development, maintenance, improvement, and surveillance of our quality management system in direct accordance with ISO 9001/AS 9100 International Quality Standards and National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) for special processes.
Essential duties
  • Create, update, and control documentation necessary for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • Champion and lead continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and its associated processes.
  • Coordinate and participate in ISO 9001/AS 9100 certification body audits of our quality management system in conjunction with external auditors during on-site recertification and surveillance audits. ATI Forged Products maintains a multiple site certification structure which includes multiple operational facilities.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer audits of our quality management system and special processes in conjunction with customer technical representatives and/or auditors during on-site visits.
  • Coordinate and participate in NADCAP or other third-party accreditation audits of special processes that are a part of our quality management system in conjunction with technical representatives and/or auditors during on-site periodic surveillance audits.
  • Coordinate supplier audits for the qualification of new suppliers and/or periodic performance reviews of current suppliers in conjunction with requirements defined in our quality management system and ISO 9001/AS 9100 International Quality Standards.
  • Support the Internal Audit Process for monitoring and ensuring ongoing compliance to our quality management system in direct accordance with ISO 9001/AS 9100 International Quality Standards and NADCAP requirements. ATI Forged Products maintains a multiple site certification structure which includes multiple operational facilities.
  • Support training of new employees (NEO)

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a Technical or Quality-related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality role

Preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in a Technical or Quality-related field
  • Lead Auditor Certification
  • Prior knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, or similar industry standards

Essential Skills:
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Technical writing
  • Computer literacy and experience in the use of software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve difficult problems
