Job description

Braun Intertec is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Lab Technician to join our Lenexa, KS office. As a technician, you will perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
Responsibilities
• Receive and log concrete and soil samples along with additional testing as needed.
• Performs and understand various laboratory test procedures
• Assist in AMRL and CCRL (regulatory standards) assessments
• Assist with Braun Quality system for the laboratory
• Input and reduce laboratory test data in standard office format and file system.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in good operating condition.
• Other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned
Required Skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn how to perform less common but more complex geotechnically related laboratory tests.
• Ability to learn how to use the various lab management systems.
Required Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
• The ability to lift 50-75+ pounds
• MoDOT or KDOT HMA, MoDOT or KDOT Soils certifications are strongly preferred (ability to obtain within a year required)
