OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Provides oversight for the quality function of those who have technical and programmatic responsibilities as part of a Program Management team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of multiple dedicated program teams to ensure alignment of quality objectives.
  • Provide Staff Quality Engineering oversight for Quality Engineers with technical and programmatic task responsibilities.
  • Mentor/train Quality Engineers & Inspectors by offering professional guidance on career development.
  • Promote and support a Continual Improvement Culture (CIC) and champion processes to reduce time and costs.
  • Advises the Director of Quality Assurance of all related development and performance activities.
  • Supports the Director of Quality Assurance in recruiting and budgeting activities.
  • Supports 3rd Party audits as required.

GENERAL:
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of full Microsoft Office suite a must. Database management a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in the Quality or Manufacturing environment with previous supervisory or management experience would be considered a plus.
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry is preferred. Other industries shall be considered.
  • Reports to the Quality Assurance Director
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Good people skills, good listener.
