Description:

AAA USA, Inc. is seeking a meticulous Quality Inspectors to support our composite fabrication and assembly lines. This role requires conducting inspections on precision electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and composite products. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or a related industry, working with blueprints and technical documentation to ensure products meet strict quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Visual & Dimensional Inspection: Use predetermined methods to visually inspect in-process and completed composite products such as electronic units, electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical subassemblies for structural flaws, internal defects, and missing components.
  • Inspect Composite Assemblies: Work from blueprints, CATIA models, diagrams, quality control specifications, and inspection checklists to dimensionally inspect composite parts, panels, spars, and assemblies.
  • Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify and document any non-conforming materials, hardware, tools, parts, assemblies, or software according to established processes and procedures.
  • Tool & Device Utilization: Operate a variety of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators, scales, and other precision instruments to verify product dimensions and specifications.
  • Process Control: Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control or other control procedures.
  • Line Clearances: Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure all materials from the previous lot have been removed and no cross-contamination occurs.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Inspection: Inspect parts and assemblies provided by vendors or subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Quality Record Maintenance: Prepare and maintain detailed quality records in alignment with company and customer requirements.
  • Cross-Training: Support continuous product flow within the manufacturing process by cross-training in assembly technician functions and providing assistance to other team members as needed.
Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aerospace or composite manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with inspecting composite panels, assemblies, and subassemblies for structural integrity and compliance.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and CATIA models.
  • Experience using inspection tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring devices.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during inspection tasks.
  • Ability to perform inspections in various manufacturing environments where protective equipment may be required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Technical or vocational training in aerospace, quality inspection, or composite technology is preferred.
