Torch Technologies is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a team responsible for ensuring product quality, inspection, compliance, and continuous process improvement within a rapidly growing manufacturing operation. This position supports the Manufacturing Division.
As a Quality Inspector, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, fabricated hardware, cable assemblies, integrated assemblies, machined components, and outgoing products.

  • Perform dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and model-based inspections, as well as standard measurement equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.

  • Generate quality documentation, including inspection reports, bubble prints, Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements.

  • Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Train and mentor production personnel on quality control standards and best practices.

  • Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.

  • Support the ongoing development and improvement of quality, material control, and production control processes.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Associate Degree or 2 years of formal technical training or equivalent.
  • 0+ years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret level clearance.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding when reading and interpreting drawings, and must have a clear knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
  • Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and prepare handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
  • Demonstrated experience using precision measurement equipment, including micrometers, height gages, gage blocks, radius gages, and calipers etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing and prototype development environment and adjust priorities based on workflow
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PC-DMIS and SolidWorks experience
  • Laser Tracker and/or Portable Arm inspection experience.
  • Experience inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • IPC-Certifications
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems and AS9102 first article inspection

Schedule: M-Th; 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
