Job description

Overview

Come grow with us by joining our team as a Production Facility Quality Control Inspector!ย  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for conducting QC inspections on select completed vehicles at the Goshen IN Forest River Bus location and all completed units at Abroc Specialty Vehicles, confirming quality expectations set by Model 1.ย  This position is responsible for making sure every vehicle that completes at the Forest River Bus and Arboc production facilities are correct, utilizing the approved build sheet.ย  This position will work closely with the Forest River and Arboc QC Teams.ย  This person will conduct inspections and report any changes, faults, concerns, or alterations to the Forest River and Arboc QC Teams for repair.ย  If Forest River or Arboc have any concerns with completing the repairs, this position will relay this information to the Model 1 QC manager.ย  This specific QC position will also be responsible for Checking the units into the Model 1 computer system.

Responsibilities

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

  • Review Factory build sheets to perform quality inspections on all buses produced by Forest River and Arboc for Model 1.
  • Following the Quality control inspection the list of discrepancies and concerns will be given to the Fores River and Arboc teams for correction.
  • Responsible for completing quality control form and ensuring all corrections are completed per Model 1 quality standards.
  • Document all inspection findings into Model 1 software system.
  • Check the unit into the Model 1 computer system.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 year's Industry Experience
  • Technical knowledge of the characteristics and maintenance needs of a wide variety of transit and mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of shop operations+
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong Initiative
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Capable of time management

Physical Requirements

  • May be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position.
  • Must have good manual dexterity
  • Must have the ability to push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
