Job description

PPS is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II for our semiconductor support industry fabrication facility in Hayward. The Quality Inspector II blends process auditing, QMS project support, and quality sustaining responsibilities to make sure that products meet standards of quality and safety. This is a full-time, permanent position with second-to-none benefits (including profit sharing bonuses) and a high ceiling for growth!

Responsibilities:   

  • Assess compliance with procedures and standards through process audits, prepare formal audit reports, and present findings to stakeholders.  
  • Assess the effectiveness of final visual inspection through part and finished goods audits.
  • Participate as a team member to develop strategies to improve product quality.
  • QMS Project Support- Support plant-wide calibration program, including preparing gauges and instruments for calibration, assessing calibration results for OOT conditions, and managing calibration records.
  • Support ambient monitoring of cleanrooms.
  • Complete action items associated with audit findings, as assigned.
  • Validate actions taken to address audit findings.
  • Enter and monitor data from Certificates of Analysis for purchased chemicals.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and apply production instructions and standards.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications and database software.
  • Basic math abilities.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent.
  • High School Diploma/equivalent, AA degree preferred.
  • 4+ years working in production environment.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom preferred.
  • Knowledge using Multimeter, Meghometer, caliper, rulers
  • Experience as a quality inspector on electrical parts, drawing interpretation.
