Summary:
At Aptiv Interconnect, we inspire the world's most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a Quality Inspector to maintain and ensure that our products conform to customer specifications and requirements. The Quality Inspector will focus on first article reports, creating work methods sheets, supplier communication and supplier performance metrics reports.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities:
  • Handle incoming/receiving inspection duties
  • Inspection of detailed parts, assembles, and first articles
  • Write NCMR and report metrics
  • Follow up with production and leader regarding nonconforming products
  • Collaborate in and lead MRB meetings
  • Create work methods sheets
  • Cross sections and inspection photographs
  • At times, may need to communicate with suppliers
  • Collaborate with respective departments in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable and utilizes data to make informed decisions
  • Enforce and interpret the Quality and AS9100 QMS standards
  • Involve supervisor with all quality deficiencies

Position Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in quality strongly preferred
  • Previous inspection of plastics/metals preferred
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment required
  • Experience with first article inspection/AS9102 first articles strongly preferred

Education & Technical Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 required

Certifications & Competencies:
  • System Proficiency: Google Enterprise, ADP, GlobalShop
