Job description

Responsible for leading and mentoring Quality Inspection teams to ensure effective in-process and first article inspection, statistical applications of new product development projects, while improving current products and processes with effective monitoring and maintenance of quality measurement equipment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Supervise inspection personnel by providing required technical support to ensure appropriate inspectionmethods are used for accurate and timely results.
2.Interface with internal customers to determine needed resources and assist in developing inspection plans tobalance workloads and ensure effective use of resources
3.Responsible for all measurement activity and inspection methods.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Actively promote and drive a culture of safety.2.Supervise inspection personnel by providing required technical support to ensure appropriate inspection methods are used for accurate and timely results.3.Interface with internal customers to determine needed resources and assist in developing inspection plans to balance workloads and ensure effective use of resources4.Assist in establishing inspection procedures to ensure quality standards are met5.Coordinate training of inspectors to ensure that their skills and performance meet organizational needs6.Identify inspection process deficiencies and drive Inspection Standard Work and efficiency7.Responsible for all measurement activity and inspection methods.8.Assist in performing CMM calibrations and qualification protocols.9.Perform statistical studies on components and gauging and report results.10.Provide staff support where necessary to get the job done as promised.11.Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to prioritize inspection work in First Article, In-Process, Final and Receiving.12.Work with external Calibration services to ensure calibration intervals on all equipment are completed as planned.13.Assist in providing Inspection quotes for First Article and monitor external First Article work.14.All other duties as assigned.
Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing inspection environment. Medical Device and defense industry is preferred.
โ€ข Experience with CMM software (MCOSMOS, Calypso)
โ€ข Experience with vision systems such as OGP, Micro-Vu preferred.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of GD&T with applied dimensional metrology experience
โ€ข Prior management experience is a plus.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Excels in customer communications and building trusting relationships.
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, and manage multiple projects.
โ€ข Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Three years' experience working in a Quality Lab. Programming and blueprint reading classes. Exposure to injection molding environment. Working knowledge of mechanical inspection equipment, including Coordinate. Measuring Machine (CMM) Working knowledge of MCOSMOS and MSURF software a plus.
