Job description

Quality Inspector
Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections to ensure precision-machined aerospace components meet customer specifications, blueprint requirements, and AS9100 quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect machined components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and document inspection results.
  • Identify and document nonconforming material and support corrective actions.
  • Verify material certifications, traceability, and quality records.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with AS9100 procedures.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards preferred.
Work Environment Manufacturing/machine shop environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking operations. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
