Job description

Job Title: Quality Control Officer - Electrical Construction / Mission Critical / Data Centers
Location: Northern Virginia
Shift: Day Shift
Pay: $55-65/hr

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Control Officer with experience in electrical construction to support large-scale data center projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, client standards, applicable codes, and quality requirements throughout all phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and inspect electrical installation work to ensure compliance with project specifications, NEC code requirements, and client quality standards
  • Conduct field quality inspections for conduit, cable tray, terminations, grounding, switchgear, UPS systems, and related electrical systems
  • Maintain quality control documentation, inspection reports, punch lists, and turnover packages
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives on quality-related issues
  • Identify deficiencies and work with field teams to ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Support pre-functional testing, commissioning activities, and final project closeout documentation
  • Participate in daily/weekly quality meetings and site walks
  • Verify materials received on-site meet approved submittals and specifications
  • Assist in tracking non-conformance reports and quality metrics
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, quality control, or QA/QC on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
  • Data center experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, and construction quality standards
  • Experience reviewing drawings, submittals, RFIs, and inspection documentation
  • Ability to read electrical plans and specifications
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction documentation platforms
  • OSHA 30 certification required
Preferred Background:
  • Previous experience on hyperscale, colocation, or mission-critical projects
  • Electrical foreman, superintendent, or QA/QC background
  • Commissioning exposure is a plus
