Job description

Where History Meets Hospitality

The Partridge Inn isn't just another hotel—and we're not looking for just another Executive Chef.

A landmark in Augusta since 1910, \The PI\ has been welcoming guests for generations. Today, as part of Hilton's Curio Collection, we blend our historic Southern character with the elevated, memorable experiences today's guests expect.

We're looking for a talented, hands-on Executive Chef who is ready to lead the next chapter of our culinary program and make their mark on one of Augusta's most distinctive hotels.

From dinner at 8595 Restaurant & Bar and cocktails overlooking the city at Six South Rooftop Bar, to weddings, social celebrations, holiday events and the excitement of Masters Week, our culinary operation offers an opportunity to create experiences that guests remember long after they leave.

The Opportunity

As Executive Chef, you will lead all culinary operations throughout The Partridge Inn, including 8595 Restaurant & Bar, Six South Rooftop Bar, banquets and catering, in-room dining, and special events.

This is a highly visible leadership position for a chef who is equally passionate about great food, developing people, operational excellence and the guest experience.

We are looking for someone who can bring creativity to the table while understanding that consistency matters just as much as innovation. You'll have the opportunity to develop menus, build and mentor a strong culinary team, improve efficiencies, manage food costs and help shape the culinary identity of The Partridge Inn.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all culinary operations across the hotel, restaurants, rooftop bar, banquets, catering and special events.
  • Create thoughtful, distinctive menus that complement the character of The Partridge Inn while appealing to today's guests and local diners.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, flavor, consistency and presentation.
  • Develop seasonal offerings, special-event menus and creative culinary experiences that give guests a reason to return.
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop a talented culinary team while building a culture of accountability, teamwork and pride.
  • Be a hands-on leader who is present in the kitchen and engaged with the team during service.
  • Partner closely with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure the front and back of house operate as one team with one goal: an exceptional guest experience.
  • Manage food and labor costs, purchasing, inventory and waste while protecting both quality and profitability.
  • Build productive vendor relationships and ensure the hotel receives quality products at competitive pricing.
  • Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, food safety, cleanliness and kitchen organization.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment and food storage areas are properly maintained and proactively address operational needs.
  • Support weddings, banquets, holiday buffets, Masters Week and other high-volume events with strong planning and execution.
  • Engage with guests, listen to feedback and use it as an opportunity to continually improve the culinary experience.
  • Bring ideas, energy and a sense of ownership to the continued evolution of The Partridge Inn's food and beverage experience.

What We're Looking For

  •  Minimum of 4 years of culinary leadership experience, preferably as an Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or in a comparable leadership role.
  • Hotel, resort, upscale restaurant and/or high-volume banquet experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong culinary knowledge with demonstrated experience in menu development, food preparation and presentation.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and hold a culinary team accountable.
  • Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, purchasing, inventory and overall kitchen financial performance.
  • Ability to balance creativity with consistency, efficiency and profitability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards and kitchen best practices.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where no two days—or events—are exactly the same.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience preferred.

 Why The Partridge Inn?

The Partridge Inn is a hotel with a story, a personality and a strong connection to Augusta. We're proud of our history, but we're equally focused on where we're going next.

For the right Executive Chef, this is an opportunity to do more than run a kitchen. It's an opportunity to build a team, influence the guest experience, create traditions and help define what dining at The Partridge Inn should be for years to come.

If you're a chef who wants to lead, create and leave your mark on a truly unique property, we'd love to hear from you.

We are a team of caring, entrepreneurial, resilient hoteliers passionate about extraordinary guest service, committed to profitability, and dedicated to the long-term growth and development of our associates.
