Job description

Hotel General Manager — Days Inn Statesboro
Keshav Management LLC | Statesboro, GA | Full-Time

Company Overview
Keshav Management LLC is a hotel management company overseeing a growing portfolio of branded, select- and economy-service hotels, including Hyatt Place Pensacola Airport, Days Inn Statesboro (GA), Quality Inn Hardeeville (SC), and Residence Inn Macon (GA). We are seeking a dedicated, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations at Days Inn Statesboro, driving guest satisfaction, revenue performance, and brand compliance in a fast-paced, value-focused hospitality environment.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee the daily operations of Days Inn Statesboro. This pivotal role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in hospitality management, financial oversight, and guest relations. As the driving force behind the hotel's success, you will ensure exceptional guest experiences, optimize revenue, and maintain high standards of service and operational excellence. Your leadership will inspire teams, streamline processes, and uphold Keshav Management's commitment to hospitality excellence in a competitive, cost-conscious market.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Operations & Brand Standards

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services to ensure smooth daily functioning.
  • Implement and uphold Wyndham/Days Inn brand standards, including guest service protocols, Quality Assurance (QA) inspection compliance, and Wyndham Rewards loyalty program standards to enhance guest satisfaction and protect franchise standing.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores and online reputation, leading corrective action planning for any service or quality shortfalls.
  • Serve as the property's primary point of contact for Wyndham brand representatives, coordinating QA inspections and any required property improvement work.
  • Maintain effective communication across departments, including multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, to ensure seamless internal coordination.

Leadership & Human Resources

  • Lead and supervise hospitality teams — including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance staff — fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Coordinate with Keshav Management human resources on staffing needs, training programs, performance evaluations, and compliance with federal, Georgia, and local employment law.
  • Own execution of the property employee handbook and incentive programs, ensuring consistent, documented application across all departments.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop staff, building a stable, well-trained team in a market where labor availability is a constant challenge.

Financial Management & Revenue Optimization

  • Manage hotel operating budgets by monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue through strategic pricing and cost control, appropriate to an economy-segment property.
  • Conduct financial operations including annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, night audit procedures, and financial reporting to ownership and Keshav Management leadership to maintain profitability.
  • Develop and execute revenue management strategies by analyzing local market trends, seasonal demand (including Georgia Southern University-driven business), and comp-set performance, adjusting rates through the PMS and OTA channels to maximize occupancy and RevPAR.
  • Utilize the property's PMS and reservation systems to optimize booking processes and operational efficiency.
  • Track and manage cost drivers across labor, supplies, and utilities, identifying savings opportunities without compromising guest experience or brand compliance.

Guest Relations

  • Handle guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring an outstanding experience for all visitors, including Wyndham Rewards members.
  • Personally engage with guests and review feedback channels (guest surveys, online reviews, OTA ratings) to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with direct P&L and supervisory responsibility; prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience at an economy or midscale branded hotel (Days Inn, Super 8, Quality Inn, or comparable) strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles, including revenue management, brand guest service standards, and property management systems (PMS).
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee daily hotel operations while managing lean budgets and financial performance against ownership expectations.
  • Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with leadership qualities that motivate teams toward shared goals.
  • Experience managing hospitality teams within a fast-paced, cost-conscious environment with a focus on guest service excellence and brand compliance.
  • Familiarity with human resources practices related to staffing, training, employee relations, and handbook administration in the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of night audit procedures and multi-line phone systems is preferred.
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele effectively.
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support hotel operations.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

What Keshav Management Offers

  • The opportunity to lead a well-located Days Inn property in a stable, university-anchored market with direct visibility to ownership.
  • A collaborative, multi-property management company where strong performers can grow across the broader Keshav Management portfolio.
  • Competitive salary, performance-based incentive plan, and benefits package commensurate with experience.

Join us as we deliver exceptional experiences through dedicated leadership! This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional eager to make a meaningful impact leading Days Inn Statesboro, while advancing their career within a growing, ownership-operated hotel management company.
