Quality Improvement Associates are professionals who help organizations enhance their processes, products, or services by identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions. They typically collect and analyze data, collaborate with teams to develop strategies, and monitor outcomes to ensure continuous improvement. These associates often work in industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and education, supporting quality assurance initiatives and helping maintain compliance with industry standards.

How does a quality improvement associate typically collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process enhancements?

Quality Improvement Associates frequently work alongside various departments such as operations, clinical staff, and data analysts to identify areas for process optimization. They facilitate regular meetings, gather feedback, and use data-driven analysis to recommend actionable improvements. Effective communication and project coordination are key, as the role often requires balancing multiple initiatives and ensuring that proposed changes are implemented smoothly across teams. This collaborative environment not only enhances the organization's overall quality standards but also provides Associates with valuable exposure to different areas of the business.

Job description

Continuum of Colorado has an opening to be our Quality Assurance Coordinator. Are you someone who spots the details others miss? Do you love bringing order to complexity and turning data into meaningful improvement? If so, this might be the fit for you!
We're looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator who's ready to play a key role in strengthening the integrity, accountability, and overall excellence of our organization. This isn't just an administrative role - it's an opportunity to be at the center of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement efforts that truly make a difference. In this position, you'll partner closely with leadership to support quality assurance initiatives, compliance monitoring, and investigative processes. You'll help keep our programs on track by assisting with regulatory compliance activities, documentation review, data collection, and reporting. Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) is highly valued and strongly preferred. Familiarity with IDD services, regulations, incident reporting, investigations, and quality assurance processes will help you understand the unique responsibilities and expectations of this position. If you enjoy organizing information, tracking trends, and ensuring that processes run smoothly and accurately, you'll thrive here.
You'll also play an important role in supporting audits, investigations, and quality improvement initiatives - helping turn findings into forward momentum. From coordinating documentation to assisting with the Human Rights Committee (HRC) process, you'll help ensure our standards remain high and our practices remain strong.
The Quality Assurance Coordinator role is perfect for someone who:
  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Enjoys working behind the scenes to drive meaningful impact
  • Is comfortable with data, documentation, and process tracking
  • Values integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment

This position does offer opportunities to work remotely; however, depending on the programmatic need, you will need to work in the office, at programmatic sites, and in the community, as well. Due to the nature of the role, the ideal applicant will live within the Denver/Aurora Metro area. Additionally, we're committed to a great work-life balance here, so you'll get to work full-time at 36 hours/week with a 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday with a sporadic need for coverage on Fridays.
If you're ready to combine analytical thinking with purpose-driven work - and be part of a team that's committed to doing things the right way - we'd love to hear from you.

  • Reliable means of transportation other than mass transit
  • Meet our driving requirements - have a license for the last three (3) years with no suspensions/revocations and no more than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years

We are committed to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our organization and our partnership with the IDD community. Our work is rooted in the firm belief that all people deserve respect and dignity, where we embrace and celebrate varied identities, preferences, and perspectives. These values are essential to our organization's excellence and to achieving our objective of a more equitable and inclusive community for all. We will ensure our systems, policies, practices, actions, and communications are equitable, including how we attract, hire, engage, develop, promote, retain, and retire BIPOC and other underrepresented or marginalized talents.
