The Quality Engineer (QE) position for Endpoint Management delivers reliable, high-performing, and secure solutions across the organization. This role works closely with development, operations, and support teams to implement efficient testing and improve device management in collaboration with Scotiabank teams. The role ensures endpoint platform changes are safe, reliable, and meet quality standards before deployment by designing effective testing strategies, automating processes, and promoting continuous improvement to enhance stability, security, and user experience.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Test Strategy Development: Design comprehensive test plans and strategies for endpoint management solutions, including functional, performance, security, and integration testing.
Automation: Develop and maintain automated test suites to ensure continuous validation of endpoint management features and updates.
Quality Assurance: Conduct manual and automated testing to identify defects, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Compliance & Security: Validate that endpoint management solutions comply with organizational policies and industry standards for security and data privacy.
Performance Testing: Assess the scalability and reliability of endpoint management platforms under various operating conditions.
Documentation: Prepare detailed test reports, quality metrics, and documentation to support release cycles and audits.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, support, and operations to drive quality initiatives and improve product usability.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in endpoint management and quality engineering to recommend improvements to existing processes and tools.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in quality assurance or quality engineering, preferably in endpoint management or device management solutions.
Strong understanding of endpoint management platforms (such as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, VMware Workspace ONE, or similar).
Proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript).
Familiarity with security and compliance requirements is relevant to endpoint management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with cloud-based endpoint management solutions.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
Certification in quality assurance, security, or endpoint management (e.g., ISTQB, CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator).
