Job Title: Quality Engineer - Onsite
Location: Franklin, WI
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports To: Quality Manager
Employment Type: Full Time

Travel Required: Yes – occasional travel to supplier and customer sites 10-15%

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our products and processes meet the highest standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this position is responsible for developing and implementing quality plans, managing RMA and CAPA processes, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality plans aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Manage the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process to ensure timely resolution of returns.
  • Lead the CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) process, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification.
  • Maintain and update work instructions for clarity and compliance.
  • Oversee the document control process and maintain cross-department documentation with accuracy and consistency,
  • Conduct process capability studies and recommend quality improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Schedule and conduct supplier audits to promote standardization and performance improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance supplier capability and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Prepare and oversee qualification test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Perform internal audits and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality assurance (required).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality management systems.
  • Experience in auditing and evaluating quality systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other PC-based tools.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and analytical skills.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation and technical procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using tools such as 8D, 5 , Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, and PPAP.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality standards and procedures.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively across teams.
