Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary

The position requires regular coordination with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to maintain accurate model representation and support clash checks and field coordination. Daily tasks include reviewing model inputs, updating layouts based on site feedback, resolving drawing discrepancies, and ensuring that construction teams receive clear and accurate documentation throughout the project.

Responsibilities

3D & AutoCAD Engineer (Senior Engineer) will be based at the project site and will support construction teams through preparation, modification, and management of 2D drawings and 3D models. The role involves developing and updating layouts, coordination models, and detailed drawings to reflect site conditions, design changes, and field requirements. Responsibilities include extracting drawings from 3D models, incorporating redline updates, preparing asbuilt documentation, and ensuring all drawings align with project standards and multidisciplinary interfaces.

Qualifications

Candidate should have strong experience in sitebased drafting and 3D modelling with solid command of AutoCAD and familiarity with platforms such as Navisworks, Revit, or S3D for model reviews and coordination. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, extract details, and reflect field changes accurately in both 2D and 3D formats is essential.

A good understanding of multidisciplinary interfaces-civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation-is important for accurate coordination. The role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, effective time management, and the capability to work closely with site engineers while ensuring compliance with project drafting standards and documentation requirements. Background in the Iron & Steel sector, with involvement in Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant construction activities will be an added preference.
