Description

American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Process Technician for our Kingman, AZ. ย This position will report to Production Manager.


Responsibilitiesย 

  • Monitor and maintain standard cycle times and part qualityย 
  • Be able to understand and communicate the information provided within the job packet pertaining to specification sheet, standard routing, B.O.M.'s, scrap reports and quality requirementsย 
  • Be able to identify all resins used in molding operation including regrind and the associated usage percentageย 
  • Must understand and operate the operator interface 'CRT' screen on computer-controlled presses, including all screens required to control the processย 
  • Must be able to establish a new process, do mold sets, Robot Programming and start a machine based upon settings in Mold Books/QR Code.ย 
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of hot runner systems, Valve Gates, and standard sprue moldsย 
  • Trouble shoot issues on Injection Molding machines and Robots.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management ย ย 

Fixed Schedule:

All (4) shifts A, B, C, D are scheduled on a 2/2/3. This schedule gives you a 3-day weekend every other week! The schedule pattern consists of four 12-Hour shifts who work two days in a row, get two days off and then work another three days, which results in only 14 working days each month!


Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Eligible to work in the United States of America
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen & Authorize Background Check
  • Must be able to work a 12-Hour Shift
  • Knowledge of operating the following Injection molding machines a must, such as:
  • Engel, Milacron, Battenfeld, UBE and HPM's
  • Knowledge with Wittman and Servpro Robots preferred.
  • Organized, detail oriented, team player with a sense of urgency
  • Resourceful, with ability to apply critical problem-solving skillsย 
  • Effective Communication Skillsย 
  • Applicant must have 2 plus years' experience as a process tech in injection molding or similar processย 
  • Follow departmental documentation procedures
  • 5S and Lock Out Tag Out experience preferred
