Location: Richmond, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: $20.13 per hour

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sample Coordinator to support laboratory operations in Richmond, VA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and has experience with inventory, documentation, and sample management. You'll play a key role in ensuring samples and laboratory materials are accurately received, tracked, stored, and distributed while maintaining compliance with established procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, log, label, inventory, and distribute laboratory samples and standards.

  • Perform sample check-in, tracking, transport, storage, check-out, and disposal activities in accordance with established procedures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records while ensuring compliance with laboratory SOPs and regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate sample status and updates with laboratory staff to support daily operations.

  • Assist laboratory personnel with sample handling procedures and provide guidance on proper processes.

  • Review laboratory requests for compliance with standard operating procedures and provide feedback as needed.

  • Complete deviation reports, investigations, and assist with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Support training on SOPs, sample handling procedures, and storage requirements.

  • Respond to environmental storage alarms and assist with on-call responsibilities when required.

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain organized sample storage areas.

  • Perform all work safely, accurately, and efficiently while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical certificate or related vocational training is a plus.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in sample management, laboratory support, inventory control, or a related field preferred.

  • Basic understanding of laboratory documentation, sample handling, and inventory management.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
