Job description

Dragon Alley, Huntsville’s premier Asian street food destination at MidCity District, is looking for passionate Line Cooks to join our high-energy kitchen team. We are an immersive 1990s Hong Kong-inspired restaurant and bar known for handmade dumplings, eclectic street food, and a vibrant social atmosphere.

Role Overview

As a Line Cook, you will be the backbone of our culinary execution, ensuring every dish meets our standards for authenticity and quality. You will work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and precision are essential.

What You’ll Do

  • Station Excellence: Set up and stock kitchen stations with all necessary ingredients and tools for service.
  • Precision Cooking: Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables using woks, fryers, and grills according to established recipes.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all food is cooked to appropriate temperatures and plated according to chef-driven specifications.
  • Kitchen Safety: Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety, including cleaning workstations and following food storage guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and fellow cooks to ensure timely service during peak hours.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar fast-paced kitchen is preferred, but we will train the right individuals with a positive attitude.
  • Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts (up to 10 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Skills: Strong knife skills and basic culinary knowledge.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
