Job description

Overview

The Senior Specialist is responsible for resolving quality issues in a timely manner as they are reported from the customer, RDC warehouse staff, or packaging facility. Responsibilities include working with the packaging companies, RDC purchasing team, and suppliers to limit the occurrence of quality issues with genuine Hyundai and KIA after-service automotive parts. 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.) 

  • Quality: 
  • Upon receiving a quality issue from MPA/HAC/KCI/etc., communicate between customers, Purchasing staff and suppliers to resolve quality issues 
  • Manage and coordinate warehouse staff when inspecting parts at MOBIS RDC with quality issue's as well as find out PDC's stock in order to take necessary actions such as replacement of parts, re-labeling, etc. 
  • Communication with MOBIS Korea regarding quality issues 
  • Analyze all quality issues on a monthly basis to find top suppliers  with quality issues 
  • Keep a master file with records of all quality issues with the status from the date the issue began until date issue was closed 
  • Visit the suppliers in addition to the third-party packaging facilities in order to inspect stock 
  • Manage the auditing of inbound parts to MOBIS RDC for quality inspections 
  • Implement and organize meeting with suppliers to resolve quality issues 
  • Daily walk-around the warehouse for proper storage of parts, as well as inspecting for any damages or production issues 
  • Creating reports for quality issues, meetings, supplier visits, etc. 
  • Claims: 
  • Quality Claim Process 
  • Create and implement the Quality Claim Process to claim all supplier for incorrect or damaged parts sent to MOBIS RDC and for all quality issues 
  • Gather all data (inbound + quality 
  • Warranty Claims 
  • Review the monthly Warranty Claims data 
  • Find the margin and total cost for the After-Service Payment for HMMA/KMMG 
  • Getting approval for HMMA/KMMG After-Service Claim payments 
  • Submitting the approval and data to HMMA/KMMG and getting invoiced 
  • Campaigns  
  • Analyze and coordinate Campaigns by taking all proper measures and communicate with all RDC and Purchasing Staff 
  • Constant communication with MPA/HAC/KCI and suppliers for updates 
  • Manually allocating and processing the parts through for each PDC 
  • Provide all information for receiving and shipping to MPA/HAC/KCI 
  • Make sure all suppliers are ready (if needed) before the parts arrive to MOBIS RDC 
  • Contacting supplier and dandling issues with parts that arrive damaged or have a quality issue 

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field plus at least 6 months of experience in a quality assurance role OR 
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 2 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the automotive industry 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Organizational skills 
  • Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy 
  • Detail-oriented and analytical skills 
  • Cost-reduction and efficiency mindset 

Preferred Education & Experience: 

  • Experience in an automotive distribution environment 

Working Conditions

  • 90% office, 10% warehouse 
  • Overtime as needed 
  • Some travel as needed 
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs.
