Quality Consultant / Specialist - Deviation Management
Location: Springfield, MO
Employment Type: Consultant / Specialist
We are seeking a high-caliber Quality Consultant/Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Springfield. This role is designed for a subject matter expert with a deep background in quality systems, specifically focused on the lifecycle of deviations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be ensuring the integrity of our quality processes by managing investigations from inception to resolution.
Deviation Investigation: Lead and draft comprehensive investigations for deviations occurring within both Manufacturing and Quality Control (QC) departments.
Root Cause & CAPA: Utilize structured methodologies to perform root cause analysis and determine effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence.
Out-of-Specification (OOS): Lead the performance and drafting of OOS investigations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Mentorship & Coaching: Provide technical guidance and coaching to existing staff to improve investigation quality and aid in the qualification of new investigators.
Collaborative Support: Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues efficiently.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in quality systems management.
Technical Expertise: Proven track record in performing and managing quality deviations in a manufacturing and QC laboratory setting.
Root Cause Proficiency: Advanced skill set in RCA tools (e.g., Fishbone, 5 Whys, Pareto).
Education: A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred (Science or Engineering discipline preferred).
Soft Skills: Strong technical writing skills and the ability to coach others in a fast-paced environment.
