Triple Crown Quality Control

Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company is a leader in the lawn care industry. We seek a highly motivated, conscientious, and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Triple Crown  Quality Control Coater Operator in Greenfield, Missouri.

Shift Details:

  • 2nd Shift 4:00 pm – 12:30 am

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Read and record temperatures of dryers and seed through all stages of coating process.
  • Read and record humidity levels and air temperature of dryers.
  • Perform de-coating and durability tests every 2 hours.
  • Read and record moisture of coated seed every 15 minutes
  • Report any out of limits reading to the coater operator.
  • Retain and file all seed samples.
  • Keep work area clean at all times.

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist coater operators as needed between tests and during down time.
  • Help operators as requested in coordinating with production and bagging lines.
  • Cross training on coater operation is valuable to help operators as needed.

Qualifications:

 

  1. Good math skills are needed
  2. Organizational skills are helpful.
  3. Must be able to clearly communicate with others.
  4. Must be able to write clearly so test results can be understood easily.
