We are currently looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team onsite in our Plano, TX office. We offer a 9/80 work schedule and foster a professional, high-energy culture where employees are empowered to succeed.

The Quality Control Inspector will inspect parts and assemblies to applicable requirements, product dimensional and functional test specifications.   This includes, but not limited to, supporting quality department initiatives, operations, engineering and other company groups as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and perform FAI for new or modified products that meet manufacturing specifications, ensure that the product meet spec requirements.
  • Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Inspect and approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests, or label and quarantine non-conforming materials.
  • Generate re-work instructions where necessary, monitor and validate re-work is performed properly before returning to production inventory or production flow.
  • Inspect and monitor production tooling, fixtures and equipment and ensure that they are all within calibration.
  • Inspect and approve finished products by confirming specifications per customer‘s drawing and specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, or label and quarantine non-conforming material.
  • Inspect and validate finished products and packaged appropriately and safely into designated packaging
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste, and recording data into quality database
  • Maintain MRB materials until they are dispositioned properly.  Present data and reports to MRB committee.
  • Assist Quality leadership with large projects or tasks when needed.
  • Assist with establishing SPC controls on production floor.
  • Manage documentation ensuring their integrity and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Verify and manage customer returns and exchanges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Special Authority:

  • Stop any nonconforming process(es) which may affect safety, poor quality or customer satisfaction
  • Report any halted nonconforming process(es) to production manager, quality department, and/or process engineer.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must be US Citizen

Knowledge, ability and skills:

  • Ability to manage time wisely in order to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Must be independent worker, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Able to learn how to use inspection tools and equipment, perform delicate operations and processes, and work well with others
  • Able to multi-task with attention to detail as required
  • Able to write legibly so that handwritten work can be read
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Ability to read and understand prints and drawings, dimensions and tolerances, specifications and other technical document information
  • Demonstrate good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions of the business
  • Must have a good attitude when interacting with people while accomplishing work and achieving quality goals
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the internet.

  • Occasional standing, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
