Job description

Position Summary
Hanover Foods is seeking a detail-oriented QA Inspector C to join our Quality Assurance team in our Canning operation. This position plays an essential role in ensuring our products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards by inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process, monitoring sanitation practices, performing laboratory testing, and working closely with Production and USDA personnel.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Inspect finished products for quality, packaging, and compliance with product specifications.
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns to Production and Quality Assurance leadership.
  • Work cooperatively with USDA Inspectors to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor sanitation and housekeeping throughout manufacturing and laboratory areas.
  • Collect production samples for customer programs and testing.
  • Perform laboratory testing, including daily pH meter calibration and documentation.
  • Conduct can seam tear-downs and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Monitor and record chlorination levels and other quality control measurements.
  • Grade incoming seasonal raw products as required.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in food manufacturing or Quality Assurance.
  • Previous Quality Assurance experience in a food processing environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, climb, and work in hot, cold, and noisy manufacturing environments. This is a safety-sensitive position.
